Here at Project SEAPonyCon, we regard the first day of April as a day of joy and a time to indulge not just in humor but also our dreams. Every year we push out a campaign to symbolise an unrealistic fantasy we have as a community,
from free air travel to a unified currency. We even had plans this year for another fun campaign. However, given the light of recent events we’re putting that on the shelf until we feel the time is right to release it.
Instead
of adding another fantasy to the list, this year we want to bring one of our fantasies to life. We are revisiting our 2019 April Fools’ campaign, Quantum SEAPonyCon and are going to do what we can to make it as real as possible
- through the magic of Minecraft.
The Quantum SEAPonyCon of 2020 is the first ever iteration of Project SEAPonyCon to take place on the internet. We are in the midst of venturing into this less explored path but our intention is to bring as much of the SEAPonyCon
experience as we can to you through the power of Minecraft.
We will be opening Harmony Six panel and activity applications and musical events being are lined up. We are also looking into the possibility of having an
online vendor hall so that artists and makers alike can also be in on the experience.

The Medium was first pitched as a venue that possessed quantum omnipresent properties and needed special equipment to access. It would be a venue that has no fixed location but rather can exist in multiple places at once.
Of
course, that’s merely a fantasy - a fantasy based on a dream we have where we could live in a world without borders and where the harsh expenses of travel would not stand in the way of being able to attend and enjoy a convention
like Project SEAPonyCon.
Today, our builders are hard at work not just on a Minecraft server for Project SEAPonyCon but also a world to live, love and laugh in without the borders our real world imposes on us.
After
Quantum SEAPonyCon, The Medium will remain here to stay to truly become a place for friendship that isn’t for just one nation.
We aim to bring the SEAPonyCon experience online for the first time.

As Quantum SEAPonyCon is attempting to bring a physical convention experience to an online space, your system needs to be able to support or have the following for the best experience.
- A computer running Microsoft® Windows 7 or higher* with admin privileges (to install our mod pack)
- A licensed copy of Minecraft Java Edition. The Medium will unfortunately not be compatible with Minecraft Bedrock,
sorry.
- An installation of Minecraft Java Version 1.12.2 . You can do this via your launcher.
- A Discord account.
- Speakers/Headphones
- A stable internet connection
- Basic knowledge
of Minecraft movement controls
* Although Minecraft is cross-platform, our mod pack unfortunately is not. While it will be possible to join the server from other platforms if the correct mods are installed, the best
experience will be on Windows.
